Hello Everyone!
Sorry I am late on last weeks blog post!
To start, my knees are on a path towards healing! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Physical therapy is going really well. I am making a lot of progress, though I’m still experiencing some pain in my knees, swelling has subsided and pain has decreased. Initially, after speaking with my physical therapist, she decided that it would be best for me to take a week off of dance. Which was devastating and frustrating, especially because I don’t like missing dance, and I am preparing for the spring show at University of Mary Washington on June 3rd (BTW you are all invited! More details to come). I was frustrated at first, but I knew that taking time off would really help my recovery. Luckily the request for rest came at a perfect time because that week was spring break for dance.
My spring was fun and eventful! To my surprise, my parents planned a fun trip to North Carolina to visit very close family and friends! I really enjoyed seeing my Aunt, Uncle, and cousins, Gabby and Zay! Gabby and I hung out a lot! We went on walks, played games, and got to catch up. We even went for bubble tea, my favorite. The best part was attending Gabby’s travel soccer practice and game. I’m lucky to have such an awesomely talented cousin/friend, she’s AMAZING at soccer. My brother Josiah and Zay mainly hung out together which was great for me because I got a lot of fun teenage girl time without having to entertain my brother. One of the days, my aunt Stephanie took us on a homeschool Fieldtrip to the Charlotte Illusion Museum. It was INCREDIBLE! There were so many cool illusions that made me dizzy because it was so mind bending!!
Luckily our travels didn’t end there, we went on to visit and celebrate my cousin Mekhi for his senior guitar recital in a different part of North Carolina. I always love seeing my trendy Aunt Nikki, and my loving Grandma!!! I am SO happy I was able to see Mekhi perform. He was so amazing !! I’m super excited that he is such a talented senior and has been accepted into all the colleges he applied for! I can’t wait to see where he decides to attend college to study animation.
Overall, I had a great spring break! And an awesome time with my family!!
